Shadow Kiss – book review

The book that changes everything… Shadow Kiss is the amazing third book in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

Life is slowly getting back to normal for everyone at St. Vladimir’s after the Strigoi incident in Spokane. Lissa is learning more and more about using her powers and Rose, while still getting over the loss of her friend, has to prepare for the Field Experience. The Field Experience is the most important part of her guardian training – one part she can’t mess up. She will be paired with a Moroi for the next few weeks. But who Rose is paired with is not who she expects. And she isn’t happy about it. At all.

Rose not only has to cope with the Field Experience, she has to try to fix her and Lissa’s friendship, deal with thinking she is going crazy, and once and for all sort out her relationship with Dimitri. But that’s when everything changes…

When a large group of Strigoi unexpectedly attack St. Vladimir’s, her whole world turns upside down. Torn between saving Dimitri and saving the rest of her school, Rose must choose the undecidable that could leave her and her friends dead. Or worse – Strigoi.

Rose must again join forces with Christian to save the Moroi and help out the other guardians. This time there won’t be a happy ending…

This book… I can’t even describe what I felt like at the end of reading it! Just the last sentence in the book holds so much… power. I was left reading the last few lines over and over again, trying to comprehend what Rose was going to do. This book is just so good that I don’t even know where to begin explaining how I felt about it. I was again entwined into Rose’s life and loved how she dealt with every situation. I again both loved and hated how every chapter ended: I loved it because it kept my attention and made me want to read on, but I also hated it because I wanted to know now what was going to happen, not in the next few chapters. But I guess it’s a good thing that this book practically on the end of my seat right until the last word on the last page. I absolutely loved Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead and would give it a score of 9 out of 10. Wow.
